Eleni Kerkentzes received her BSc and MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1996 and 1997 respectively. She then went on to work for a brief period of time in Egypt as an external consultant. Since 2000, she works at the largest Higher Educational Institute of the Region of Epirus, Greece managing large educational and developmental projects focusing on career development, counseling, entrepreneurship and innovation. Eleni headed the Career Office for 9 years, achieving ISO 9001 certification of all services provided and making the Career Office the only such service to work under a quality assurance system in Greece to this day. Eleni was also National Representative of Greece in the European Forum for Student Guidance (FEDORA) from 2009 until 2011. Today, she heads the Centre for Career Development & Employment, the Internship Office and the EURAXESS Mobility Centre at the University of Ioannina. She is also a member of the 2nd Cohort for the implementation of the EC's Human Resources Strategy for Researchers. Eleni currently coordinates the "Excellence in Research" initiative at the University of Ioannina and the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition "Innovation Odysseys 2012".
